Projects

In the Treptow-Köpenick borough, a great number of players (social enterprises, schools, companies, universities as well as the Borough Office Treptow-Köpenick itself) have been taking part in projects and initiatives related to the EU or European partners for many years. Moreover, Treptow-Köpenick is funded by EU programs, which benefit the infrastructure, the economy and the citizens themselves.

A summery of the EU-funded projects and EU-related activities of the past years can be found in the Berlin EU-report:

Local pact for employment and economy (LPEE)

One part of the EU-funded projects in the Treptow-Köpenick borough is carried out within the framework of the Local Pact for Employment and Economy (LPEE). The initial point for the foundation of a LPEE in Treptow-Köpenick is the European Employment Strategy which focuses on a closer involvement of local participants. The LPEE Treptow-Köpenick is aimed towards improvement of local economic structure, creation of new jobs and vocational training possibilities and the integration of disadvantaged people back into society.

For support of the LPEE, three funding programs are available: Economy Related Actions (which is financed by the European Regional Development Fund), Local Social Capital and Partnership - Development - Employment (which are financed by the European Social Fund).

Contact person for the LPEE is Mr. Michael Meyer in the Mayor's Office
