LoGo Europe! Support from Holland

The district authority of Treptow-Köpenick will be friendly supported by employees from Amstelveen, a community of Holland, for the next three weeks.

The 45 years old Helmie Bijleveld from the communication department and the 43 years old Pieter Heidma from the department for urban planning are currently doing an internship at the town hall of Treptow-Köpenick. This is part of the EU-funded project “LoGo Europe!” Here they exchange experiences with their colleagues, share the daily work together and compare and discuss methods. Seeing things from a different point of view, looking at the wider picture and networking is the name of the game. Both departments expect new impulses and fresh ideas for their daily work from this exchange and enjoy having such a great support. Amstelveen, located near the Dutch capital Amsterdam, is specialized in a more modern use of new media compared to the Berlin administration.
Next year, two employees of the District Office of Treptow-Köpenick could take the chance to absolve a four-week internship at another European public authority. Maybe it will called “Hello Amstelveen!”. The education program “Lifelong Learning-Leonardo da Vinci” by the European Union and the District Office of Treptow-Köpenick will make this possible.

We would like to say thank you to Mrs. Bijleveld and Mr. Heidma for the friendly cooperation and wish them an eventful and interesting stay in Berlin, especially at Treptow-Köpenick.
