The district authority of Treptow-Köpenick will be friendly supported by employees from Amstelveen, a community of Holland, for the next three weeks.

21.07.2011 | TheaterJugendClub on a visit at Izola
Since 2002 there is a sister-city arrangement between Treptow-Köpenick and Izola, Slovenia. This year, for the first time, the TheaterJugendClub of the "Stadttheater Cöpenick" took part in the Izola community day on the 10th of July.

05.07.2011 | EU Council Presidency
On 1st July 2011 Poland has taken over the EU council presidency. The main objective of the Polish Presidency shall be that of leading the European Union towards faster economic growth, and an enhanced political community. In order to achieve these targets, the Polish Presidency will concentrate on three fundamental priorities: “European integration as the source of growth”, “Secure Europe”, and “Europe benefiting from openness”.

04.07.2011 | International youth festival 2011
The international youth festival United Games of Nations took place from 13th until 19th of June 2011 in FEZ Wuhlheide. Under the motto "Time travel - times are changing" about 120 young people from 12 countries, mostly from Europe, came together in order to participate in an exchange of views and experiences. These young people were challenged to work together in multi-national workshops to encourage cultural awareness dialogue.

23.06.2011 | German-Turkish art project
On 21st of June 2011 the mayor of the district Tepebasi of the town Eskisehir, Mr. Ahmet Atac, the mayor of Berlin Treptow-Köpenick, Gabriele Schöttler, the consul general of the Republic Turkey, Mustafa Pulat and Yüksel Kocadoru from the Anatolian University solemnly opened an art exhibition on the Campus of the University of Applied Science in Berlin Oberschöneweide.
