"Partner Treptow-Köpenick e.V. " Association

The twinning association "Partner Treptow-Köpenick e.V," founded in 2003, is an important partner of the Treptow-Köpenick Borough Office who supports events, projects and actions with its sister cities.

In the statues of the association is written: "This association intends to promote, cultivate and deepen the relationships between the Treptow-Köpenick borough and the communities and institutions which are already twinned with Treptow-Köpenick or which are related to Treptow-Köpenick or with whom such friendly links should be established.The association serves non-profit purposes particularly though youth and students’ exchange, by meetings of elderly and handicapped people, through national and international meetings, educational/vocational training, local history and geography education, and through sport, economic and tourist activities. The association supports other associations, citizens' action committees and other institutions, such as schools who intend to cultivate international friendships."

Among others, the Mayor of Treptow-Köpenick, Mrs. Gabriele Schöttler, and the Head of the Borough Assembly, Mr. Siegfried Stock, are members of the management board of the association.
